1. What is the Linksys Skill? 
The Linksys Skill for Alexa allows you to ask Alexa for Wi-Fi information from any Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router or Velop system.  It also controls guest access.
2. What is required to use the Linksys Skill? 
  • A Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router or Velop system with remote access enabled.
  • The Alexa mobile app working with your Amazon Echo™, Amazon Tap or Amazon Echo Dot.
  • An active Linksys cloud account.  To set up an account, click here.
  • The Linksys Skill enabled within the Alexa app.
  • A working internet connection.
3. What can I ask Alexa?
  • Get Wi-Fi credentials
  • Get guest access credentials
  • Turn ON / OFF guest access
  • Enable / disable Skill
  • Help (“Alexa, ask Linksys what I can do” and Alexa reads off the above skills)
4. How do I get Alexa to use the Linksys Skill?
Start with the trigger words, “Alexa, ask Linksys…” and follow with a skill.  For example, “Alexa, ask Linksys 'What is my Wi-Fi password?'”
5. Will Alexa be able to control all of my Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Routers and Velop system?
No.  If you have more than one Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router or Velop system, Alexa will only control the one most recently added to your Linksys cloud account.

1. What should I do when Alexa says, “I'm sorry, I don't know how to help you with that.”?
Make sure your Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router or Velop system is associated with your Linksys cloud account.
2. What should I do when Alexa says, “Associate a Linksys product with your Linksys Smart Wi-Fi account and ask again.”?
Add your router to your Linksys cloud account.  To learn how, click here.
3. What should I do when Alexa says, “There was an error processing your request.  Your account is not currently available.”?
The Linksys server might be down for maintenance.  See whether you can log in to your Linksys cloud account.
4. What should I do if the commands are not working?
Try to disable the skill and enable it again.  To do this:

Step 1:
Launch the Alexa app.
Step 2:
Tap on the Home menu, then choose Skills.
Step 3:
Tap on Your Skills at the top-right corner of your screen.
Step 4:
Enter “Linksys” in the search field and it will display a description of the Linksys app.
Step 5:
Tap Disable Skill button, then tap again to enable.
