Configuring the Guest Access feature of the Linksys CG7500

The Guest Access feature of the Linksys CG7500 AC1900 Wi-Fi Cable Modem Router allows you to share internet access to visitors without having access to other connected devices in the main network.  You can turn this feature ON or OFF, give it a name and password, and set the number of Guest clients allowed.  The Guest network is configured after you run the Setup Wizard.  This article will show you how to change or configure additional Guest settings of the network.
Step 1: 
On a computer connected to your Linksys CG7500’s network, launch a supported browser and enter “” in the Address bar and then press [ENTER].
Step 2: 
On the screen that opens, enter the modem router’s login Password then click Log in.
NOTE:  The default administrator password is admin.

Step 3: 
On the top menu bar, select Configuration.

Step 4: 
On the left navigation panel, go to Wi-Fi then click on Guest Access.

Step 5: 
The Guest network should already be enabled once you run the Setup Wizard.  Otherwise, check the Enabled check boxes and enter your desired Guest network name (SSID) for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks.
NOTE:  You can also choose to only enable just one Guest Wireless network such as the 2.4 GHz by disabling the Guest Wi-Fi for 5 GHz.

Step 6: 
Change the Guest Wi-Fi Password (recommended).
Step 7:
Select your Max Guest Allowed entry on the drop-down menu.  You can allow up to 10 Guests.

Step 8: 
Click Save.
Step 9:
You can now provide your Guest clients with the Guest wireless credentials.
You should now have configured the Guest Access feature of your Linksys CG7500.
