The Linksys Business LAPAC1750C AC1750 Dual-Band Cloud Wireless Access Point built with the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 that allows you to remotely manage multiple organizations, access points, and networks under one login and easy-to-use dashboard.  With this feature, you will be able to see the status of the networks in an organization, the number of devices and clients that are in use in each location, their bandwidth use, and other network information.

The Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 is the improved cloud manager for the access point.  You can now manage the access point through https://cloudmanager.linksys.com/.  To learn more about the new Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 cloud visit https://cloudmanager.linksys.com/documentation/.

If you are managing the access point through
https://business.linksys.com, you are using the URL for the Linksys Cloud Manager 1.0.

3.  How do I create an organization and a network?

4.  What is an organization?

The first thing you need to do before you start adding and configuring devices is to create an organization.  This typically is your company name or your customer name.  The Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 allows you to create an unlimited number of organizations so you can segment your network configurations however you choose.   To learn more, click here.  

5.  What is a network?
 
A network is typically a network location or a group of network devices that share the same configuration settings.  As with organizations, you also can create an unlimited number of networks within an organization.  To learn more, click

7.  How do I rename a client?
 
Log in to the Linksys Cloud Manager, select an organization then select a network.  Click on the Clients tab then click on a client to enter its page.  On the client's page, click the ellipsis menu > Rename.  Enter a friendly name for the client, then click on Confirm.


8.  Can I add a Linksys LAPAC1750 to the Linksys Cloud Manager?
 
No.  The Linksys Cloud Manager only supports the Linksys LAPAC1200C, Linksys LAPAC1750C, and Linksys LAPAC2600C.
 

9.  How do I select a certain access point to use a specific SSID?

13.  What are the default IP address and password of the access point?
                                   
If no DHCP server is detected, the default IP address is 192.168.1.252 and admin is the default password.

NOTE:  If the access point has the latest Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 firmware, you can also access it by using 10.0.0.1 if the access point has not detected a DHCP server and the wireless client is connected to its default SSID.


14.  How do I change the default local admin password of the access point?

1.  What Wi-Fi security settings does the access point support?
 
The Linksys Cloud Manager supports WPA2™WPA2 Enterprise, or Open authentication only. 
 

2.  What is the difference between Wi-Fi SSIDs page and Wireless SSID Slots?
 
The Wi-Fi SSIDs page allows you to create Wi-Fi names (think of them as Wi-Fi profiles).  You can also configure the splash page settings (captive portal) or set a bandwidth limit to an SSID.  A network can have unlimited SSIDs which are created in the Wi-Fi SSIDs page.  To learn more, click

The Wireless SSID Slots page displays the Wi-Fi names that are associated to an access point.  An access point can have up to eight slots.
 
Also keep in mind that for Linksys Cloud Manager 1.0, you can enable a splash page for a maximum of two concurrent SSIDs that are in the Wireless SSID Slots and up to six SSIDs without a splash page.  For Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0, there is no limitation.
 

3.  How do I add a Wireless SSID Slot to a specific access point?

4.  How many Wireless SSID Slots does an access point support?
 
An access point can support up to eight slots.  Also, make sure to remember that for Linksys Cloud Manager 1.0, you can enable a splash page for a maximum of two concurrent SSIDs that are in the Wireless SSID Slots and up to six SSIDs without a splash page.  For Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0, there is no limitation.
 

5.  How do I change the channel of the access point?
 
You can change the channel in the Radio section of the Linksys Cloud Manager.  For specific instructions, click

6.  How do I change the time zone of an access point?
 
You can change it in the More > Time Zone section of the Linksys Cloud Manager.  For specific instructions, click

7.  What is a splash page and how do I configure it?

The splash page is the same as a captive portal that allows you to block wireless clients from accessing the network until user verification has been established.  To configure this, click here for Linksys Manager Cloud 2.0.  For Linksys Manager Cloud 1.0, click here.

8.  How do I change or configure my account settings?

The Inventory is the virtual repository for access points that are not in use.  To add an access point to the Inventory, click

13.  How do I manage the access point remotely and locally?
 
For access points being managed through Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0, local management is not supported.  The interface is mostly for diagnostic and a quick summary of the access point.  You can only manage the access point using the Linksys Manager 2.0, for more information click
here.

Remote and local management are only supported on access points being managed through the Linksys Cloud Manager 1.0.  To manage your access point locally, you need to access its local interface and manage the settings from there.  To manage it remotely, you need to create a Linksys Cloud Manager account and add the access point to your account.  To learn more, click

14.  How do I disable the Linksys Cloud Manager?
 
This only applies to access points being managed by the Linksys Cloud Manager 1.0.  Disabling or enabling the Linksys Cloud Manager will reset the settings of the access points in your organizations and you will need to reconfigure them.  To learn how to disable or enable the Linksys Cloud Manager 1.0, click

15.  Does the access point support Notification settings?
 
Yes.  You can the click on the Notifications setting in the Settings section of a network.  For specific instructions, click

16.  What local settings can I configure when the Linksys Cloud Manager is enabled?

ADVANCED SETTINGS
 

1.  How do I configure the VLAN Tagging settings of the access point?
 
By default, VLAN tagging is disabled.  To configure the access point for VLAN tagging, go to the TCP/IP tab of the device, which can be accessed from Devices of Linksys Manager Cloud 2.0 or Access Points for Linksys Manager Cloud 1.0.  Click Edit to select or enter your settings and click Save once done.  On the other hand, you can also configure the VLAN tagging for an SSID in the Wireless Settings > Addressing page of the SSID.  This option is only available if the access point is bridge mode. 
 

2.  How does Client Isolation work?
 
When Client Isolation is enabled, it prevents wireless clients from communicating to each other within the same SSID and same radio.  On the other hand, when it is disabled, clients connected to the same SSID and same radio band will be able to communicate to each other.  To learn more, click

3.  Can I manually upgrade the firmware of the access point?
 
You can do this for access point that is being managed by the Linksys Cloud Manager 1.0.  To learn how to do this, click

If you are managing the access point via the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0, you can only perform firmware updates via the Linksys Cloud Manager.  To know how to do for Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0, click

4.  Does the access point support bandwidth limitation?
 
Yes, the administrator can set the bandwidth limitation.  To learn how, click

 5.   What TCP or UDP ports are used by the access point in the Linksys Cloud Manager?

The access point will communicate to the Linksys Cloud Manager with port TCP/8002.  In case port TCP/8002 is closed, the access point will change and use port TCP/443 instead.  

NOTE:  Port TCP/443 is a fallback port.  If the access point uses it to connect to the Linksys Cloud Manager, it will not use port TCP/8002.  Port TCP/443 is the same as ports used by HTTPS applications.  It should be open by default in most networks.

TROUBLESHOOTING


1.  Why is the access point showing offline in the Linksys Cloud Manager?

To fix this, follow the troubleshooting tips below:

The access point will display offline due to one of the following reasons:
 
  • The access point is down or is not connected to the internet.
  • The access point was reset. 
  • The Linksys Cloud Manager was disabled or re-enabled (for Linksys Cloud Manager 1.0 only).

For access points being managed through Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0:
 
  • Confirm the status of the access point by logging in to its local interface and check the IP address settings, make changes as needed.
  • Try deleting the access point.  To know how to delete the access point, click here.  Once deleted, add the access point back into the Linksys Cloud Manager.  To learn how, click here.

For access points being managed through Linksys Cloud Manager 1.0:
 
  • Confirm the status of the access point by logging in to its local interface and check the IP address settings, you can make changes as needed.
 
  • If the button at the top right-hand corner of the local interface shows Enable Cloud Manager, this means that the Linksys Cloud Manager is disabled.  You need to enable it to then delete the access point from the Linksys Cloud Manager.  To learn how to delete the access point, click here.  Once deleted, add the access point back into the Linksys Cloud Manager.   To learn how, click here.
 
2.  There are no SSIDs to select in the Wireless SSID Slots page, what could be the problem?
 
To add an SSID to a slot, the SSID must first exist.  To create an SSID, go to the Wi-Fi SSIDs page to create it.  To learn more, click

3.  How do I change the settings of an SSID?

4.  How do I reset the access point to its factory default settings?
 
To reset the device to its factory default settings, press and hold the reset button for longer than 15 seconds or until you see that the light indicator is blinking red.

For an access point that is being managed using the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0, deleting it from the Linksys Cloud Manager it will also restore it to its default factory settings.
