Connecting external storage devices to the Linksys MX5300

Scenario:  What can I connect to the USB port of my Linksys MX5300?

You can connect external storage devices to the USB port of the Linksys MX5300 Velop AX Whole Home WiFi 6 System to share the entire drive on your network.  Below are the supported file formats:

 

  • Windows® - NTFS, FAT32
  • Mac® - APFS, HFS+, and FAT32

 

The storage device must be formatted properly for the node to recognize it.  To learn how to format your USB device for Mac, click here and for Windows, click here.

NOTE:  The USB port on the Linksys MX5300 is suitable only for connecting storage devices.  The USB port will not work with printers, scanners or other peripherals.
