How to disable Wi-Fi (NETGEAR)

This article will walk you through general instructions on how you can turn OFF the Wi-Fi on your NETGEAR® router. 

Before you begin, make sure the computer you use is turned ON and connected to the Wi-Fi.

NOTE:  Steps and instructions may vary depending on your router’s model.
 
Step 1:
Launch a browser, enter "https://www.routerlogin.net" in the address bar to access the router’s configuration page then press [ENTER].
 
Step 2:
Enter the login credentials for your device.  
 
NOTE:  The default username and password is admin.
 
Step 3:
Click on the ADVANCED tab.
  
Step 4:
Click on the Advanced Setup menu and then click Wireless Settings.

Step 5:
Uncheck the Enable Wireless Router Radio for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi.

Step 6:
Click on User-added image to save the settings.

The network should now appear as disconnected on your computer.
