Configuring your Wi-Fi settings for video calls

Nowadays, people are shifting to a work from home setup which may result to increased interference in your home Wi-Fi.  Especially when you make video calls, your internet connection must be stable.  To solve this issue, follow the configuration tips below.
 
  • Connect to the 5 GHz band of your Wi-Fi
 
  • Change your Wi-Fi Channel width to 20 MHz on a Linksys router
Although the steps are similar, the images may appear differently depending on your router.  In this example, a Linksys Smart Wi-Fi router is being used.
 
Step 1:
Access your Linksys server account.  To know how, click
here.
 
Step 2:
Click Wi-Fi Settings on the left navigation pane under Router Settings.

Step 3:
Under the Basic tab, click Edit beside Wi-Fi Settings.

Step 4:
On the Channel width drop-down menu, choose 20 MHz Only.

Click Apply > Ok to save the changes.
