Connecting the Linksys WUSB6300 v2 to the Wi-Fi using WPS

The Linksys WUSB6300 v2 Dual-Band WiFi 5 USB Adapter supports the Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) feature for a quick and easy connection to a WPS-enabled router or access point.  With WPS, you can securely connect your computer to a Wi-Fi without using a password.  

Make sure to install the driver for the adapter first before using the WPS method.  To learn how, click

NOTE:  The images and steps may vary if you are using the Linksys WUSB6300 v1.

The Linksys WUSB6300 v2 is compatible with Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.
 
Step 1:
Press the WPS button on your router.

Step 2:
On the computer, open the Wi-Fi list, click the Wi-Fi name and click on Connect.  Wait until the computer makes the connection without entering a password.

Step 3:
Within 2 minutes, a connection will be established and will show that it is connected and secured.

 

The Linksys WUSB6300 v2 is compatible with OS X 10.11 (2015 version) to 10.15 (2019 version).

Step 1:
Click on the Wi-Fi icon for the adapter on the upper right-hand side of your computer and scroll to the bottom to choose WPS.

Step 2:
Press the WPS button on your router and click on PBC on the computer.

Step 3:
The adapter should connect within 2 minutes.  Once it’s connected, the Wi-Fi icon on the computer will turn to green signal bars to show that it is associated to the network.
