Enabling the Linksys wireless adapter

There are instances where you need to disable the wireless adapter of your computer in favor of a wired adapter.  Also, there are scenarios where your computer has more than one (1) wireless adapter and you would like to switch adapters for optimum wireless connection.  This article will guide you on how to enable the Linksys wireless adapter in your computer.  To learn how, follow the steps below:

Windows Vista/Windows 7
Windows XP
 

Windows Vista/Windows 7

Step 1:
On your desktop, right-click on the My Computer icon and click Properties.

Step 2:
Click on the Device Manager.

 

Step 3:
Click on Network adapters and select the model number of your Linksys Wireless Adapter then click Enable.


Windows XP

Step 1:
On your desktop, right-click My Computer then click Properties.

Step 2:
Click on Hardware then click Device Manager.

Step 3:
Click on Network adapters and look for Linksys Wireless Adapter.

Step 4:
Right-click on the Linksys Wireless Adapter and click Enable.
