- Enabling Filter Multicast on a Linksys router
Multicast is a form of communication that allows multiple transmissions of multimedia and streaming data to specific recipients at the same time. Enabling the Filter multicast feature on your Linksys router lets you sort out selective multiple transmissions for devices connected to the network. This article will guide you on how to enable Filter multicast on a Linksys router.
There are two (2) ways to enable this feature:
Access your Linksys cloud account. To learn how, click here.
On the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi homepage, click the Security tool. The Filter Multicast option is available under the Internet Filters section.
NOTE: The Filter Multicast checkbox is disabled by default. If you want to enable this feature, tick Filter Multicast checkbox, click Apply, and then Ok to save settings.
Once the page is up, click the Security tab. The Filter Multicast option is available under the Internet Filter section.
NOTE: The Filter Multicast checkbox is disabled by default. If you want to enable this feature, tick Filter Multicast checkbox and click Save Settings.
You should now have successfully enabled the Filter multicast feature of your router.
