Connecting your Xbox One® to the wireless network

Connecting your Xbox One® to the wireless network is easy.  Before setting up your Xbox One's connection, you have to take note of these information:
  • Wireless network name (SSID)
  • Wireless security mode
  • Security key (password/passphrase)
If you don't have your wireless settings, access your router's web-based setup page.  For detailed information on retrieving your wireless settings, click here.

NOTE:  The wireless network password is different from the router’s password.
This article will guide you on how to connect your Xbox One to the wireless network.

Step 1:
From the Home Menu, select Settings.
Step 2:
Select Network.

Select Set up wireless network.

Step 4:
A list of detected wireless networks will be displayed.  Choose the network you want to connect to from this list.

Step 5:
Type your password and then select Enter.

NOTE:  If the network is unsecured, you may skip this step.
Your Xbox One® game console will test the wireless connection and let you know when it is connected to your network and the Internet.
