Connecting CM100 Using the Ethernet Port

You can connect the Cable Modem to your computer using either the Ethernet port or the USB port.

This article will guide you through the process of connecting CM100 using the Ethernet port.

NOTE: If you wish to connect using USB port, please click here.

Step 1:
Turn OFF your computer. If you are replacing an existing cable modem, disconnect it at this time.

Step 2:
Connect the Coaxial cable from your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or Cable Company to the CABLE port of the Cable Modem.

NOTE: The other end of the coaxial cable should be connected to the ISP's or cable company's instructions.

Step 3:
Connect the included Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port of the Cable Modem and connect the other end to the Ethernet cable to your computer’s Ethernet port.

Step 4:
Connect the included Power adapter to the Power port of the Cable Modem and connect the other end to an electrical outlet. The Power LED should light up.

Step 5:
Turn ON your computer.
