- Connecting CM100 using the USB Port
This article will guide the user in connecting the CM100 using the USB Port. You can connect the Cable Modem to your computer using either the Ethernet port or the USB port.
NOTE: If you are replacing an existing cable modem, you need to disconnect it. For connecting the modem using Ethernet port, click here.
Turn OFF the computer.
Connect the Coaxial cable provided by your Internet Service Provide (ISP) or Cable Company to the CABLE port at the back of the Cable Modem.
NOTE: The other end of the coaxial cable should be connected according to the ISP or cable company’s instructions.
Connect the included power adapter to the Power port of the Cable modem and the other end to an electrical outlet. The Power LED should light up.
Connect the square end of the included USB cable to the USB port of the Cable Modem. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB port on your computer.
Turn ON the computer.
