Checking the driver version of the Linksys wireless USB adapter

Checking the driver version of your wireless adapter allows you to know if you need to update its driver or not.  This article will guide you on how to check the driver version of your Linksys wireless USB adapter.
 
Select your computer’s operating system (OS) below for specific instructions:


Windows®
OS X®

Windows®  

Step 1:
Enter "device manager" in the search field of your taskbar.

Step 2:
Click on Device Manager in your result list.

Step 3:
Click on Network adapters to expand the list, then right-click on your wireless adapter and select Properties.

NOTE:  In this example, the Linksys WUSB6300 v2 is used.

Step 4:
Click on the Driver tab and check the Driver Version section.

OS X®  

Step 1:
On the menu bar, click on the signal bar icon.

NOTE:  In this example, the Linksys WUSB6300 V2 is used.

Step 2:
Select Open Wireless Utility… option.

Step 3:
Click on the question mark icon.

Step 4:
The Driver Version will then be displayed.  Click OK to close the window.
