How to navigate through your Linksys app

The Linksys app allows you to access your Linksys server account using your mobile device and gives you the option to make changes on your network settings similar to the way you do from a regular web browser.  This article will provide you with instructions on how to navigate through the Linksys app.

When you open the app, it will prompt you for your account information.  Enter your Linksys server account credentials then tap on Log in.

You can also tap on Use Admin Password or Router Password and enter the required information to log in locally then tap on Log in.

Once you are logged in, the dashboard screen will be displayed on the screen.  
The dashboard is the landing page of the Linksys app.  It displays how many devices are connected to the network and whether the router is connected to the internet or not.

NOTE:  The app will automatically log in the next time you access it until you tap log out from the Menu.
The Menu screen displays the features available in the app.  It can be accessed by tapping the Menu User-added image icon on the upper left of the screen.

The following are the features available for access in the Menu:

NOTE:  Your Wi-Fi name will appear on top of the Menu list.

  • Devices - The Devices section will display the total number of connected clients.  For more information, click here.
  • Parental Controls - The Parental Controls section will show you the total number of clients with parental controls configured on them.  For more information, click here.
  • Wi-Fi Settings - This is where you can change the wireless settings of your router.  Click here to learn more.
  • Guest Network - This feature allows guests to use your internet connection without granting access to your files and other devices connected to your main network.  For more information, click here.
  • External Storage - The External Storage feature allows you to connect an external storage device into the USB port on the router and share the entire drive.  For more information, click here

NOTE:  You will only see this if your router has a USB port for external storage configuration.

  • Device Prioritization - This allows you to prioritize what devices or applications on your network will get the most bandwidth.  To know more, click here.
  • Network Administration - The Network Administration feature provides information about your Wi-Fi, firmware version, time zone, and IP details.  You can also restart your device in this section.  To know more, click here.
  • Advanced Settings - The Advanced Settings feature allows you to configure the internet settings, port settings, Wi-Fi MAC filters, and local network settings. 
  • Set up a New Product - This is for setting up a new device.  For Android users, click here.  If you have an iOS device, click here.
  • Account - This is where you can find the information about your Linksys server account.
  • Help - This is where you can get help about your Linksys app including its version.
