How to use the Channel Finder feature of your Linksys Intelligent Mesh system

WiFi signals broadcast on multiple channels.  The more networks that use the same channel, the worse the performance will be for each of them.  Channel Finder selects the channel with the least amount of traffic for each node in your network

Directions
 
Step 1:
Log in to the dashboard.  For instructions when using an Android™ device, click here.  For iOS, click here.

Step 2:
Tap on the Menu icon at the upper-left side of the screen.

Step 3:
Tap Wi-Fi Settings.

Step 4:
Tap Advanced Wi-Fi Settings

Step 5:
Tap Channel Finder

Step 6:
Tap Scan Channels.

Your network will turn OFF the WiFi to scan channels and all devices will be disconnected temporarily.  If it finds better channels, Channel Finder will automatically make the changes for you.

Step 7:
If you are already using the best channels, Channel Finder will not make any changes.  If there are any changes, tap Technical details to view the new channels.  Tap Done.

The previous channels are on the left and if any channels were changed, they will be displayed on the right side with an arrow.  In the example below, the channels of the 5 GHz bands for Parent node was changed.  The channels were changed from 149 to 161 and from 40 to 48
