Checking the firmware version of your Linksys Intelligent Mesh

The Linksys Intelligent Mesh WiFi System gives you 100% seamless WiFi experience.  Linksys mesh makes it easy to give guests access while keeping unwanted guests from connecting to your network.

Updating the firmware of your node keeps your WiFi features current and fixes many performance issues.  Knowing the firmware version of your node can help you identify if it needs a firmware update.  This article will help you check the firmware version of your node.


IMPORTANT:  Before you proceed, make sure to have the latest version of the Linksys app installed in your device.  To download it from Google Play, click here.  To get it from the App Store®, click here instead.

NOTE:  Steps and images may vary depending on the operating system of your mobile device.  In the examples below, an Android device is used.

Step 1: 
Launch the Linksys app and log in to the dashboard.  For complete instructions, click 
here.

 
Step 2:          
Tap the Menu

Step 3:
Tap Network Administration and select the name of the node.

NOTE:  You can also see the Automatic Firmware Update option on this page, to turn ON or OFF automatic firmware upgrades, toggle the switch.

Step 4: 
On your node's page, check the Firmware Version section.

Step 1: 
Open a web browser to access the LinksysSmartWiFi.com page.  For instructions, click 
here.

Step 2: 
Click Connectivity under Router Settings.

Step 3: 
On the Basic tab, click Details under Firmware Update.  The firmware version will be displayed under the Current Version section of your device.

NOTE:  Check the Automatic checkbox to automatically update the firmware of your node when there is a new firmware available or uncheck it to prevent it from automatically installing firmware updates.  The default setting is ON.
