The Linksys RE6250 AC750 Dual-Band WiFi Extender and the Linksys RE6350 AC1200 Dual-Band WiFi Extender are plug-in range extenders that expand the range of your wireless home network for better wireless coverage.  With the range extenders’ simultaneous wireless dual-band connectivity, eliminate dead spots while you enjoy streaming, playing online games, and browsing the web without interruptions.  This article will guide you on how to access your range extender’s web-based setup page.

Step 1:
Open a web browser.

Step 2:
Do one of the following methods to log in to the range extender’s web-based setup page and press [Enter]:

NOTE:  You must be connected to the Wi-Fi name of the range extender.

A.  Enter "https://extender.linksys.com" in the Address bar.

B.  Choose your operating system (OS) below:
  • Windows® - Enter "https://RE6250" for Linksys RE6250 or “https://RE6350” for Linksys RE6350 in the Address bar.
  • OS X® - Enter "https://RE6250.local" for Linksys RE6250 or "https://RE6350.local" for Linksys RE6350 in the Address bar.

C.  Enter the range extender’s IP address.

NOTE:  If the range extender does not detect a DHCP server, the default IP address is 192.168.1.1.  Otherwise, you will need to look up your range extender’s IP address in your router's DHCP Client Table.  To know how to do this using a Linksys Wi-Fi Router, click here.  If you are using a Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router, click here.

Step 3:
Enter the range extender's Password, then click Login.

NOTE:  The default password is admin.  If you have changed your password, enter that instead.
