Configuring the Local Network Settings of the Linksys WRT32X

This article will guide you on how to configure the Local Network Settings of your Linksys WRT32X if needed for your network.

Step 1:
Log in to the web interface.  For instructions, click here.
Step 2:
On the web interface, click Advanced Settings > Local Network Settings.

Step 3:
Under Router IP Setup, change the router’s IP Address.

NOTE:  The router's default IP Address is

Step 4:
If you need to configure your IPv6 settings, click More Settings.

Step 5:
Toggle the IPv6 switch to configure IPv6 settings.

NOTE:  By default, Enable firewall protection is ON.  Toggle the switch to turn OFF firewall protection.  This option is useful in the event your Linksys WRT32X is connected to an upstream router.

Step 6:
Under DHCP Server, configure your DHCP settings by entering the First client IP.

Step 7:
Under LAN Security, you can choose to enable or disable the UPnP (ON by default), DMZ (OFF by default) and Respond to WAN pings (OFF by default). 
Step 8:
Click Save.

You have now configured the Local Network Settings of your Linksys WRT32X.
