Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 – Captive Portal Guide

Captive Portal

This feature allows you to redirect users that connect to your Wireless SSID to a custom webpage. You can have them enter login credentials or accept a Terms of Service Agreement before they can access the internet. You can use our built-in cloud hosted splash page editor to create a Splash Page or you can redirect to your own External Captive Portal Page.

Built-in Cloud-Hosted Splash Page Editor

1.  To create your own Splash Page using our free cloud-hosted editor, go to Captive Portal found in the upper right-hand corner of your Network dashboard.

The URL added here can be accessed by wireless users even before they are authenticated by the Splash Page.  You can add your business site, a contact-less menu, or any other URL that you want all wireless users to have access to.

Disable Auto Pop-Up

Enabling this feature will disable the automatic Splash Page pop-up for user login.  You can select three different groups of devices to suppress the automatic pop-up: Android™, Apple®, and Windows® devices.  These users will have to manually initiate traffic in a web browser to get automatically redirected to the Splash Page for authentication.
