What is History?
Why are there gaps in my timeline when someone was home and moving?

What is History?

History shows your motion routine over time - daily or weekly - for up to 60 days.  The motion we display is meaningful motion, determined by what meets or exceeds your motion sensitivity level.  To learn more about motion sensitivity, click here.  You can access History from Live view.

By default, we show general motion on your timeline.

If you have three or more motion devices and want to see which motion device was the nearest, you can tap the toggle on the upper right and see a more specific breakdown of your motion history.

Why are there gaps in my timeline when someone was home and moving?

Empty spaces don't necessarily mean no motion was detected.  It could be that whatever motion detected was not what you consider meaningful.  Meaningful motion meets or exceeds your sensitivity setting, which measures intensity and sustained length of time.  For example, if a person was taking a short walk to the bathroom, or a dog jumped onto a couch, it will register in the Live view, but it might not be recorded in history.

If you would like more motion to be displayed, adjust your motion sensitivity.  To learn more about motion sensitivity, click
