Rated 5 out of 5 by from The right router for today’s networking needs! Set up was easy The range of wifi in my older house has improved since we started using this router. No issues when gaming or binging Netflix Connect to it is as simple as pressing a button, no one complains of slow down or dropped network issues. This is one of the best routers I have used to date and I have gone through several routers, with Xbox, PS4, smart TV, computers and laptops, handheld gaming, and even my thermostat, Alex and Google smart devices, wifi bulbs, and plugs, this can handle them all. If its time to get a new router or just want to update your network, this is the way to go, the Linksys Dual-Band AC1200 WiFi 5 Router. Linksys keep up the good work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fair Once received opened the box to find simple usefull instructions. Set up was another story. Adding another router to network was a challege. Set up was cumbersome but was completed. Numorous hangs on set up menu for acceptance of policys. Had to rest a few times to avoid the hang ups. Configuring the router for personel access passwords.changes also not user freindly. What I did find is the range is very large. I had no issues moving around my space and no loss of signal. Numrous devices I did find had very slight drop, but notworthy. Router has been on the network for 7 days with no further issues reported.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed! I previously had nodes positioned throughout my house and did not actually expect this compact little unit to work as well as they did. I was wrong. Once I had it connected I decided to walk around my property to judge the range. My house is positioned nearly in the middle of 1.75 acres and I am not joking when I say I had a WiFi connection on my tablet throughout most of my walk. It says on the box that the range is up to 1000 square feet so I was absolutely amazed at how far I could go from the house! I took pictures from my tablet and sent them to my sister in a text to show how far I could go and still have 2 bars of connection. It was a little slower sending photos at that distance but they did send. It was easy to connect and I was even able to update the firmware with no trouble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great vertical coverage I installed the router in my basement office, the lowest level of the house. I walked through the house in both the horizontal and vertical direction watching the strength of the signal. Vertically the signal strength remained at the maximum on the second floor, two levels above the router. Horizontally the signal dropped to about 50% about 12 feet away from the router and further dropped to zero about 24 feet away from the router. Conclusion: AC1200 Router (E5600) is not a whole house device but within its sphere of coverage it provides an excellent WiFi signal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Linksys AC1200 -- Easy Setup This Linksys AC1200 router is a departure from previous models I've reviewed. It is smaller and has a vertical design which uses a smaller footprint, instead of the larger routers set flat on the surface. It is also an inexpensive router designed to be used in smaller locations up to 1000 square feet. For this application I set it up in my basement apartment as a separate network from the rest of the house. This meant that the network address needed to be different from the modem/router already in use. In setting up and turning on this router, all those tasks needed were automatically done for me. I hooked this into the LAN wire that went to my desktop and then plugged the desktop into one of the four LAN ports on the back of the router. In doing this I was able to check both wired and wireless performance, which were in line with the original modem/router. I also took my phone around the entire basement, which is about 1600 square feet, to check out connection strength as I moved farther away from the router. While it dropped to 2 bars out of 5 in the far corner of the basement outside the apartment, the 1200 square feet area in the apartment never got below 3 out of 5. It did not seem to be affected as much by walls as I would have expected. An excellent router at a reasonable price, it does what it is designed to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from And it just keeps getting better! I received my router yesterday. Wow...this was the easiest setup EVER for a Linksys router. It also works a lot better than the last Linksys router. It's wonderfully compact compared to the last one as well. It doesn't have, and apparently doesn't need, all of the antennas and bulk. As a person who builds pc systems as a hobby for the last 25+ years & a loyal Belkin/Linksys customer for many years...need I say more? It just keeps getting better! Thanks Belkin for another fabulous product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Is So EAsy I have to admit that most of the time these things are annoying to set up and run not because they are hard but it can be fiddley and things. This was not this was great. I mean in seconds I was up and running and had impressive signal strength thorough out my entire house. Then came the big one. Could it handle everything that I now am using at home all at once. The answer is yes. easily. All my devices running at once. It made setting up my home automation easy. I really did like this.
