Getting to know the Linksys E1550
The Linksys E1550 is a Wireless-N Router with SpeedBoost. It is one of the latest Linksys Wireless-N Routers that offer optimum performance for wireless connection in your network.

Allows you to set up your wireless network easily. Advanced Settings allow you to customize your network.
Ethernet 1-4 (Green) – Using Ethernet cables, these Ethernet ports (1-4) connect the router to computers and other Ethernet network devices on your wired network. The green light flashes to indicate network activity over that port.
NOTE: An Ethernet cable is also called a network or Internet cable.
Internet (Green) – Using an Ethernet cable, the Internet port connects the router to your Internet connection, which is typically a Cable or Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) modem. The green light flashes to indicate network activity over that port.
Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) – If you have wireless devices, such as wireless adapters, that support Wi-Fi Protected Setup, then you can use the WPS button to automatically configure wireless security for your wireless network.
Power (Green) – It lights up green when the router is switched ON.
Power – The Power port connects to the power adapter.
Reset – The Reset button is found at the bottom of your router. There are two ways to reset the router to its factory default settings. Either press and hold the Reset button with a paperclip or pin for 10-15 seconds or restore the defaults using the web-based setup page of the router.
