Fortinet Security (free)

The Fortinet Security feature is supported on specific Linksys models such as the Linksys MX6200, Linksys MBE7000 series, and Linksys LN1100 with the latest firmware. When you enable this option, the router will use Fortinet® DNS server 208.91.114.155 to block adult content. If this option is not available for your model, you can still use OpenDNS.

Note that Fortinet Security is NOT supported in PPPoE connections. For setups using PPPoE connections, OpenDNS is the only option.

OpenDNS

This feature blocks pre-defined adult content, also known as Family Shield from OpenDNS. When you choose this option, the router will use OpenDNS servers 208.67.222.123 and 208.67.220.123.

For all other models, OpenDNS is the feature being used once you enable Safe Browsing. You no longer need to make a selection; just enable the option and tap on Save. You will temporarily lose connectivity while the settings are being saved.
