Connecting the Linksys High Power PoE Injector, LACPI30 on devices

The Linksys High Power PoE Injector, LACPI30 offers a quick and easy setup with Plug-n-Play installation, provides Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities to a Provider Edge (PE) device and to your non PoE network by simply connecting it to your existing network.  It is easy to configure and operate allowing you a fast and convenient access to your files. 
 
It also reduces the wiring cost of AC power by using a standard CAT5 cable to carry both power and data to Power over Ethernet devices such as cameras and access points, up to 100 meters away.  The PoE Injector offers Gigabit speeds with IEEE 802.3at (PoE+), which can provide power for up to 30 Watts.
 
The instructions below will guide you on how to connect the Linksys High Power PoE Injector, LACPI30 on your devices.
 
Connecting to a Powered Device (PD)
 
The PoE/DATA port sends power and Ethernet data to your Powered Device or a PoE client.  Use a CAT5 Ethernet cable to connect the PoE/DATA port to your Powered Device or a PoE client.
 
NOTE:  A Powered Device (PD) is a device powered by Power sourcing equipment and thus consumes energy.  Examples include wireless access points, IP Phones, and IP Cameras.


Connecting to a LAN
 
The DATA port doesn’t deliver power.  Use an Ethernet cable to connect the Injector’s DATA port to the LAN port of an Ethernet device, such as an Ethernet Switch.
 

Power Source
 
Use the power cord included in the package to connect the Injector’s power socket to a power source.
