ADVANCED SETTINGS

1.  How do I configure the VLAN Tagging settings of the access point?

By default, the VLAN Tagging feature is disabled on the access point.  To enable it, go to Devices and click on the TCP/IP tab of the device.  Click Edit to select or enter your settings and click Save once done.  On the other hand, you can also configure VLAN Tagging for an SSID in the Wireless Settings > Addressing page of the SSID.  This option is only available if the access point is set to bridge mode.

2.  How does the Client Isolation feature work?

When the Client Isolation feature is enabled, it prevents wireless clients from communicating to each other within the same SSID and same radio.  On the other hand, when it is disabled, clients connected to the same SSID and same radio band will be able to communicate to each other.  To learn more, click
here.

The access point will communicate with port TCP/8002.  In case port TCP/8002 is closed, the access point will change and use port TCP/443 instead.

NOTE:  Port TCP/443 is a fallback port.  If the access point uses it to connect to the Linksys Cloud Manager, it will not use port TCP/8002.  Port TCP/443 is the same as ports used by HTTPS applications.  It should be open by default in most networks.
