Positioning the external antennas of the Linksys EA7500

The Linksys EA7500 Max-Stream™ AC1900 Gigabit Wi-Fi Router comes with three external adjustable dual-band dipole antennas that provide powerful streams of data to multiple devices in a single-story or multi-story home.  The Linksys EA7500 external antennas feature:

  • Large, overlapping Wi-Fi patterns for maximum signal strength and coverage 
  • Enhanced dual-band communication
  • Antenna diversity for more robust connection with wireless clients
 
All external antennas are adjustable to different positions depending on your preference and network environment.

To optimize your antennas’ maximum signal, the following positions are recommended:
 
Optimal Antenna Positioning
For multi-story environments:
 
  • Side antennas are angled 30°- 45° outwards.
     
  • The middle antenna is positioned straight up.

The Linksys EA7500 antennas are removable to accommodate antenna upgrades.  For better home coverage, you can also install the WRT High Gain Antennas, WRT002ANT.  These dual-band antennas optimize mobile device connectivity and provide up to 2x gain compared to standard antennas.  To learn more, click
