Connecting a Mac computer to your WiFi

This article will show you how to connect your Mac® computer to the WiFi.
 
Before connecting to your WiFi, you must know the following:
 

WiFi name (SSID)

WiFi password, security key, or passphrase
 

Follow the steps below to connect to your WiFi:
 
When connecting your Mac computer to a home WiFi, it is recommended to add it to your Preferred Networks list.
 
 
 

1. Click the WiFi icon on the upper-right corner of the screen.

2.  Select the WiFi you want to join. 

3. When required, enter your WiFi password then click Join.

Check the Remember this network option if you want your Mac computer to remember this WiFi and automatically connect to it once the computer is in range.

When you see this Wi-Fi status sf49491-003_en_v2.png icon in the menu bar, it means you've successfully connected.
 
 
1. Click on the Apple sf49491-004_en_v2.png icon, then select the System Preferences... option.

2. Click Network.

3. Select Wi-Fi from the left panel.

4. Click the Network Name drop-down menu, then select the WiFi name you want to connect.

5. When required, enter the WiFi password then click Join.
 
Check the Remember this network option if you want your Mac computer to remember this WiFi network and automatically connect to it once the computer is in range.
 
6. Click Apply.
 
You should have now successfully connected to the WiFi.

2. Click Network.

3. Click the sf49491-011_en_v2.png button.
 
4. Select the network you want to add to your Preferred Networks list then select Remember networks this computer has joined.

5. Click OK.
 
Once the selected network has been added to your preferred list, you can connect to this network automatically when it is in range.
