Setting up the Linksys LAPAC1300CE

The Linksys LAPAC1300CE AC1300 Cloud Outdoor IP67 Access Point is perfect for outdoor deployments.  It has a Zero Touch Provisioning feature that reduces the need for on-site installation and configuration, saving you time and travel costs. 

This article will show you how to set up the Linksys LAPAC1300CE.

 
Step 1:
Unscrew the bottom cap along with all other connectors to expose the Ethernet (PoE) port.

Step 2:
Take note of how all the pieces are connected in the order shown below.

Step 3:
Insert the ethernet cable through all the connectors as shown below and fasten the grey clip to the cable.

If you have problems inserting the ethernet plug into the cap, notice the cap has four edges, just align the plug to the edges and carefully insert the cable.

Step 4:
Slide the grey clip towards the larger piece, along with the rest of the pieces as shown in the image and screw on the cap.

Step 5:
Connect the ethernet cable to the PoE port on the access point.

Step 6:
Test the power, connect the other end of the ethernet cable to a PoE switch or injector to make sure the that the access point powers ON first before you screw the last piece in.  Once the power light is solid orange, power OFF the access point.

Step 7:
Connect the last piece to the PoE port.

Step 8:
Make sure that the access point is powered OFF and then connect the four antennas.  Each antenna is labeled as either 2.4GHz and 5GHz.  Make sure to connect two 2.4GHz antennas to the access point connectors labeled with 2.4GHz and two 5GHz antennas to the connectors labeled as 5GHz.
