Configuring the MAC address Filtering Policy on the Linksys FGW3000

The Linksys FGW3000 5G WiFi 6 Router has a filtering feature that you can configure to allow or block clients in your network through their MAC addresses.  To learn how to configure this, follow the steps below:

Before you begin:
  • Make sure your computer is connected through an ethernet cable (or via WiFi) to the Linksys FGW3000.
 
Step 1:
Access the Linksys FGW3000 dashboard.  To know how, click here. 

Step 2:
On the left side of the dashboard, click WiFi > Settings.

Step 3:
Choose either WiFi 2.4GHz or WiFi 5GHz to make changes.

Step 4:
Under Access Control List, click the drop-down menu of the Filtering Policy.

Step 5:
Select either AllowList or BlockList.

Step 6:
Click Insert.

Step 7:
Enter the MAC address on the field provided.

QUICK TIP:  Click Insert again to enter more clients as needed.

Step 8:
Click Apply when you are done.
