Overview of the Network feature on the Linksys FGW3000

The Network feature on the Linksys FGW3000 5G WiFi 6 Router allows you to view and configure the LAN and WAN settings of your router.  You can also do port forwarding and port triggering on your Linksys FGW3000.  To learn more about the Network feature, click on the following settings:
    
Status

This is a read-only page that displays the current status of your LAN and WAN networks.
 
StatusDescription
LAN InformationThis section displays the status of your LAN settings.  To make changes, click on LAN Setting in the menu.
WAN InformationThis section displays the status of your WAN settings.  To make changes, click on WAN Setting in the menu.
Lease Status TableThis table displays the clients connected to your router.

WAN Setting
 
WAN SettingDescription
Basic Config
Allows you to select the WAN Connection Type, enter your preferred Host Name, and determine the WAN MTU size.

NOTE:  The default WAN Connection Type is NAT Mode.
 
The Bridge Mode is IPPT, IP pass through mode. If you set the device to Bridge Mode, the WAN IP will assign to the client side.  For complete instructions on how to set up your router to Bridge Mode, click here.

Tunnel Mode:
With the latest firmware, you can now select Tunnel Mode > IPsec and configure the VPN settings required by the ISP.
WAN IP SettingThis is currently a reserved field.  When WAN is LTE/NR, this option is greyed out and set to Automatically by default.
WAN DNS Setting
The default setting is Automatically. 
 
To enter custom DNS numbers, click on Static.  Make sure to click Apply to save your settings. 

LAN Setting
 
LAN SettingDescription
LAN SettingAllows you to configure the LAN IP Address and LAN Subnet Mask of your router.  The default IP address of the router is 192.168.15.1.
DHCP Server Settings
Allows you to enable or disable the DHCP Server of your network.  The default setting is enabled. 
 
To make changes, uncheck the box and enter your settings and click on Apply.
DNS Setting
Allows you to get the DNS settings from your ISP or enter the DNS settings manually.  From ISP is the enabled by default. 
 
To make changes, uncheck the box, enter your settings and click on Apply.
Lease Reservation TableTo reserve an IP address for a client, click Add and enter the client’s information.  Do not forget to check the Enable box and click Apply.

Port Management

The Port Management feature has the following settings: Port Forwarding and Port Trigger. 
 
To configure port forwarding or port triggering, click Add and enter your port settings. Do not forget to check the Enable box and click Apply.
