Upgrading the firmware of the Linksys FGW3000

Updating the firmware of the Linksys FGW3000 5G WiFi 6 Router will keep its features current and fixes many performance issues.  This article will show you how to upgrade the firmware of your router.

Manually upgrading the router’s firmware
 
Step 1:
Download the latest firmware of your Linksys FGW3000 and save it in your computer.  For instructions, click here.

IMPORTANT:  The filename may vary depending on the firmware file of your device.  If  you downloaded a .zip file, you need to unzip it before proceeding with the upgrade process.

Step 2:
Access the Linksys FGW3000 dashboard.  To know how, click here.

Step 3:
On the left side of the dashboard, click Management > Software.

Step 4:
Under Software Upgrade, click Browse then select the firmware file that you have downloaded.

Step 5:
Click Upgrade and wait until the firmware has been updated.

Using the Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) upgrade
 
Step 1:
Access the Linksys FGW3000 dashboard.  To know how, click here.

Step 2:
On the left side of the dashboard, click Management > Software.

Step 3:
Under FOTA Upgrade, click on the Check New Firmware button.

Step 4:
If a new firmware is available, proceed with the upgrade and wait until the firmware has been updated.
