Setting up the Linksys FGMM601

The Linksys FGMM601 5G Outdoor Router features speeds that ensure the overall connectivity in your home remains stable and strong. Follow the steps below to set up the Linksys FGMM601.

Before you begin, take note of the following:

 
  • Do not connect or remove the SIM card when the router is powered ON.
  • To remove the two torx screws, remove the SIM card cover using a T10 Hex key (not included).
  • The default IP address is 192.168.100.1.
  • The default username and password are user. If you are logging in as the administrator, use administrator as the default username and password.

Directions
 
1. Remove the SIM slot cover by using a T10 Hex key. Then, insert the SIM card.

2. Connect the power cord to the PoE injector and plug the cord socket onto an AC power outlet.

3. Unscrew the bottom cap and remove the grey and black pieces as shown.

4. Connect an ethernet cable into the ethernet port of the router.

5. Assemble the rest of the pieces including the bottom cap.

 
a.  Insert the grey and black plastic pieces into the cable.

NOTE: These two pieces split open to wrap around the ethernet cable.
 
b.  Insert the bottom cap.

c.  Insert the grey piece into the upper cap and then screw on the bottom cap.

6. Connect the ethernet cable from the router to the OUT port on the PoE injector.

7. Connect another ethernet cable from the IN port to a computer or a switch.

NOTE: The light on the PoE injector will turn green.

8. Using a computer connected to the router, access the web interface. Open a web browser and enter "https://192.168.100.1" in the Address bar. Then, press [ENTER].

9. Enter the default username and password. Then, click on LOGIN to manage the settings of your router.

You should now have successfully set up the Linksys FGMM601.
