Light behavior of the Linksys MR8300

The Linksys MR8300 Mesh WiFi Router, AC2200 can be used as a primary node in a mesh network. The single light on top indicates the status of the router, the connection to the internet, and WPS pairing. The lights on the ports indicate the status of the connection between the router and the devices connected to it.
The table below shows the corresponding activities and descriptions of the lights on the Linksys MR8300.

Top Light
Light DescriptionStatus
Blue (blinking) Starting up. Wait for the router to finish starting up.
PurpleReady for set up. Open the Linksys app to complete the setup.
Purple (blinking)Set up in progress. Follow the instructions in the app.
BlueConnected to the internet. Router is online, everything is good.
RedNo internet. Not online, check with your internet service provider (ISP) for service interruptions.
Red (blinking)Not plugged in to the modem. Make sure your router is firmly connected to the modem.
WPS Pairing Light DescriptionStatus
Blue (blinking) Pairing started.
BluePairing successful.
Yellow (blinking)Pairing unsuccessful.
