There are two ways to reset the Linksys EA9350 v3 to factory defaults:

  • Hardware Reset – To reset your router to factory settings, press and hold the Reset button while the light on front of the router blinks red.  Do not release the button until the light goes out and then turns bright red.
  • Software Reset – Log in to your Linksys cloud account.  Under Router Settings, click Troubleshooting > Diagnostics.  Click Reset under Factory reset.

3.  I have reset the Linksys EA9350 v3 but now I can’t launch the setup page.  What should I do?

Make sure your computer is connected to the default WiFi settings of the router.  In addition, if your computer has a static IP address, make sure it has valid DNS numbers.  If not, set the computer to obtain an IP address automatically.  You can also try using the default IP address of the router by entering "
https://192.168.1.1" on the Address bar.

QUICK TIP:  If needed, reassign a static IP address back on the computer.

4.  What should I do if I can't connect to the internet via WiFi and my network name is not listed on the available networks?

Try to perform the following steps to resolve the issue:

  • Verify that your router's power light is ON and steady.
  • To assess if you have WiFi range issues, try moving your laptop or mobile device closer to your router.
  • Make sure that the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band is enabled in the router.

7.  What should I do when my WiFi is slow, inconsistent, suffering from weak signal, or is having difficulty maintaining a VPN connection?

WiFi technologies use radio frequency as a medium to connect devices.  This means that connectivity and the throughput performance between devices decrease when the distance between devices increases.

Other factors that can cause signal degradation are the following:

  • Obstructions such as walls, fixtures, furniture and metal appliances
  • WiFi signal interference caused by other devices using the same frequency such as baby monitors, microwave ovens, etc.

NOTE:  Connection speed may decrease as you move farther from the router.

Troubleshooting Tips:

  • In order to determine if the WiFi issues are related to distance, it is recommended to temporarily move the computer within 10 feet from the router if possible.
  • You may also change the WiFi channel of your router.  This will resolve issues of WiFi interference to improve the performance and reliability of your network.
