Setting up the Linksys EA9350 v3 manually

This article will guide you on how to manually set up the Linksys EA9350 v3 Max-Stream AX4500 Dual-Band WiFi 6 Router through LinksysSmartWiFi.com.

Before you begin, make sure to perform the following steps:

  • Power OFF the modem.
  • If you are replacing your existing router, make sure to disconnect it and move it out of the way.
  • Write down your default WiFi name and password located on the bottom of the router. The default WiFi name is Linksysxxxxx, where xxxxx is the last five digits of the serial number.
 

Follow the steps below to set up the Linksys EA9350 v3.


Step 1:
Position the antennas straight up and power ON your router.
 
Step 2:
Power ON the modem. Then, connect the ethernet cable from the modem to the internet port of your Linksys EA9350 v3.

Step 3:
Wait until the power light on the router turns solid purple.
 
Step 4:
Connect your computer to the default WiFi of the Linksys EA9350 v3. The WiFi name and password are located on the bottom of the router.
 
Step 5:
Launch your web browser and enter "
https://linksyssmartwifi.com" in the Address bar then press [Enter].

NOTE: If you are unable to launch the Smart Setup, you can also use “myrouter.local” or “
https://192.168.1.1” (the default IP address of the router).

Step 6:
Click anywhere on the mobile image.
 
Step 7:
Enter the default password, which is "admin".

Step 8:
At the bottom of the screen, click on CA.
 
Step 9:
Click Connectivity then go to the Velop Setup tab.

Step 10:
Create a WiFi name (SSID) and create a wireless password (case sensitive) and click on Setup Node.
 
Step 11:
Wait until your settings are applied. Once you see If you are connected Wirelessly, reconnect to your new WiFi name and connect your computer to the new WiFi name you just created.

NOTE: Adding other nodes as child nodes is not supported.

Step 12:
Once you have reconnected, you should be online now. Check the Network Status of your router, you should see Connected.

Step 13:
It is recommended to also change the default administrative password in the Connectivity > Basic tab. Click on Edit, enter your new password, and click Apply.
 
You should now have manually set up the Linksys EA9350 v3.
