Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 - Wi-Fi SSIDs page

The Wi-Fi SSIDs page of the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 allows you to create and edit SSIDs.  To prevent making changes to the wrong network, make sure to select the correct name from the list.  The network name will appear on the top of the page below the Linksys logo, as shown below.
 
 

Features
 
  • A network can have unlimited SSIDs which are created on the Wi-Fi SSIDs page.
  • An access point can have up to eight SSID slots.
  • At any moment, a network SSID can be associated to one or more access points.
 
Step 1:
Access the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0.  For instructions, click

Step 2:
Select an organization and on the Networks page, select a network.
 
Step 3:
From the Networks tab, select a network, click on
, and then click on Wi-Fi SSIDs.
 
 
 
You will land on the Wi-Fi SSIDs page.
 

 
Step 1:
Access the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0.  For instructions, click

Step 2:
From the Wi-Fi SSIDs page, click the New Wireless SSID button.
  
Step 3:
Enter an SSID in the Name field.

 

 
Step 4:
Select the Password option.  Enter your desired password in the field or click on Generate secure password to generate a random password that consists of 20 alphanumeric characters (except for the letters "o" and "l") including both uppercase and lowercase letters.
 
NOTE:  The Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 only supports WPA2™, WPA2 Enterprise, or Open authentication.

 

 
If you selected the WPA2 Enterprise authentication option, click on Configure RADIUS to enter your preferred settings.  Click on Continue > Save.
 


 
 
Step 5:
By default, the SSID will automatically be assigned to all access points in the network.  If you want to assign this SSID to a specific access point, click the Change link under Broadcast and uncheck the access point you do not want to broadcast this SSID.

 

 
 
 
Step 6:
Click the Create button to finish.
 
If you need to change the settings of an SSID, click on the Settings button from the Wi-Fi SSIDs page, then review or make changes and save the settings on the General page.
 

 
Enabling or disabling an SSID

Once an SSID has been created, you have the option to enable or disable the SSID broadcast.  Follow the steps below to learn how:
 
Step 1:
Access the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0.  For instructions, click

Step 2:
From the Wi-Fi SSIDs page, click the 
 menu alongside the SSID you want to configure, then select Disable or Enable depending on its current status.
 


 

Alternatively, you can click the Settings button on the Wi-Fi SSIDs page, and under General, just check the Disabled box to disable the SSID broadcast or uncheck it to broadcast the SSID.  Then click Save.
 

 
Deleting an SSID

To delete an SSID, follow the steps below:
 
Step 1:
Access the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0.  For instructions, click

Step 2:
From the Wi-Fi SSIDs page, click the 
 menu button alongside the SSID you have selected, and click Delete.
 

 


Step 3:
Click Delete again to confirm.

Setting
Description
WiFi name
  • This section displays the SSID name.  To change the name, click on Settings. 
  • Enabled / Disabled - Displays an SSID that is currently enabled or disabled.
 
 

To permanently delete the SSID, click on  and click Delete.  To edit the SSID, click on Settings.
 
 
Authentication
Displays the current authentication type.  Click on Settings to change it.
 
 
Broadcasting
Number of devices that are broadcasting the SSID. Click x Access Point to view which devices are broadcasting the SSID. 

NOTE:  If Broadcasting shows a 0 value, this means this SSID is not assigned to any access point.

 
 

Click on the access point to go into the settings of that access point.
 
 
Splash Page
Displays if a Splash page is enabled for the SSID.  To configure the splash page settings, click on Settings. (see the Splash Page section for more details)
 
 
Bandwidth Limit and Client Bandwidth Limit
Displays if the SSID has been configured with bandwidth limitations. To configure this option, click on Settings on the ellipsis menu. (see the Bandwidth limit page for more details)
 
 
Band Selection
By default, each SSID created is a Dual-band SSID.  If you need to create a 2.4 GHz only or 5 GHz SSID, click on Settings > Advanced.
