Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 – Devices page overview

The Linksys Business Cloud Access Points distribute secure WiFi connections to different networks and provide cloud management features so you can monitor your organizations, access points, and networks from anywhere at any time.
 
The Devices page of the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 will list all the access points in a Network.  From the Devices page, you can access specific access points and configure them accordingly.  On the other hand, clicking on an individual access point will take you to its page where you can configure and monitor its status or performance.  

1. Access the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0.  For instructions, click here.

2. Select an organization.

3. From the Networks tab, select a network, click the ellipsis, and then click on Devices.

You will land on the Devices page.

Adding access points

Follow these steps to add an access point.

1. Access the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0.  For instructions, click here. 

2. From the devices tab, click Add Access Point.  If you have previously added an access point, you will see the Add a New Device instead.

3. Enter the MAC address and the serial number of the access point and then click Next.  Make sure that the access point is online before adding it.

4. Once the access point has been found, you can rename it and then click the Add Access Point button.  You can add an unlimited number of access points to a network.
 
Devices
 
On the Devices page, you will find a list of all your access points in the network you are currently in.  The first column displays all the access points in a network.

  • Sorting the access points - By clicking on the arrow icon, you can sort the access points by Status, Name, Date Added, Clients, Traffic, and Load in ascending or descending order.
  • Status of the access point:
 
  • Online -  The access point is online.

  • Offline - The access point is offline.  Check the wiring or network connectivity of the access point.

  • Disabled -  The access point is disabled.  To enable it, click on the ellipsis menu and select Enable.

  • Updating - Firmware is currently updating.  When the update is complete, it will go back to Online status.

  • Pending adoption - The access point was added while the access point was offline.  Once the access point is online, the status should change to Online.

  • Checkbox - Click the checkbox and then select Actions to do any of the following:

  • Actions – allows you to select from the following: 
 
  • Move to Inventory – moves the selected access point to Inventory.  All data and settings in the device will be lost however, the connectivity settings will be maintained.  To do this step, click the checkbox > ActionsMove to Inventory > Move.
  • Delete – deletes the selected access point from the network.  This needs to be done if you are replacing or returning the access point (i.e., RMA) or if you will no longer use the access point.  To do this, click the checkbox > Actions > Delete > Delete.
  • Enable – enables the access point.
  • Disable – disables the access point.
 
  • Status – lets you select the order in which to display the rows.
 
Connected Clients
 
The Connected Clients column displays the number of clients connected to the access point.

Current Traffic
 
The Current Traffic column displays the current traffic per access point.

Access Point Load
 
This displays the access point's load.  You can click on it to check the load.

Ellipsis (three-dot icon)

Click on the three-dot icon to access shortcuts to other settings.

  • Click Monitor to display the status activities, real-time statistics, and connected clients to the access point activity.
  • Click Details to display information about the access point.
  • Click Wireless SSID Slots to display the SSIDs that are associated with an access point. 
  • Click TCP/IP to display the internet settings.
  • Click Radio to configure the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz wireless radio settings of the access point.
  • Click Tools to determine the accessibility of a host on the network.
  • Click More configuring settings in the More page only applies to the access point you have currently selected.
  • Click Reboot to restart the access point. 
  • Click Blink LED to let the access point lights blink.
  • Click Rename to enter a new name for the access point.  Click Confirm to save your changes.
  • Click Disable to disable the configuration of the access point. 
  • Click Move to Inventory to move an access point to Inventory. 
  • Click Delete to permanently delete an access point from the Cloud.  This will reset the access point to factory defaults.
