Overview of the Linksys mesh router dashboard

The Linksys mesh router dashboard provides a snapshot of your router.  It displays the number of devices connected to your network and also shows you if any devices are configured with Parental Controls or Priority settings.

To access the dashboard, log in to the Linksys app using your Linksys cloud account.  For instructions, click here.
 


iOS



The table below shows the dashboard when using an iOS device.
 
DashboardDescription
WiFi name and internet connection statusIn this section, your WiFi name is displayed, along with the status of your internet connection.


 
DEVICES and ROUTERSDEVICES - Total amount of clients that are currently connected to your network.  Tap on DEVICES to manage your connected and offline devices as well as your guest clients in the Devices screen.

ROUTERS - Total routers connected to your network.  If any of your routers are offline, you will see a red alert in the ROUTERS section.  To determine which router is offline, tap on ROUTERS. 




NOTE:  If your network is in bridge mode, you will see BRIDGE MODE instead of Devices.

 
Internet SpeedTap on Go to run a speed test.




 
Last Five ConnectionsThis section displays the last five clients that have connected to the network.  The client will display their online/offline status, the radio band they’re connected to, and their signal strength.


 
Parental ControlsTap on Parental Controls to configure it.



Once configured, it will display the total number of clients that are configured with Parental Controls.



 
Guest NetworkThe Guest Network section will display if you have the guest WiFi turned ON or OFF.  Tap on Guest Network to configure the Guest Access settings.




 
Share Wi-FiTap on Share Wi-Fi to share your WiFi credentials, then select the radio to share the WiFi.  



When you share your WiFi, the 2.4 GHz band is selected by default.  The Linksys app will display the image below only if your router supports the 6 GHz radio.

The 6 GHz radio is only compatible with devices that also support 6 GHz.  If your device does not support it, it will not be able to connect using the 6 GHz band. 




You can also share your WiFi credentials via text, email, or copy them to a template.  This will share your main WiFi credentials, if don’t want to share this information, turn ON Guest Network instead and share your Guest Access credentials.

InternetThe Internet icon displays if the router is online or offline.


 
DevicesThe Devices section displays the total number of clients that are connected to the network.



NOTE:  The dashboard can also display if the router is in Bridge Mode.
Wi-Fi
The Wi-Fi screen displays the signal strength and one WiFi name for your entire network. 



Tap on the WiFi name to go to the Wi-Fi Settings screen to make necessary changes.
Tap on the share  icon to share the WiFi name and password via text, email, or copy to a template. 
 

The Linksys app will display the image below if your router supports the 6 GHz radio.

When you share your WiFi, the 2.4 GHz band is selected by default.  The 6 GHz radio is only compatible with devices that also support 6 GHz.  If your device does not support it, it will not be able to connect using the 6 GHz band. 

 

 
Guest Access
Guest Access allows you to configure the WiFi settings of your guests.
 
Toggle the switch to enable or disable Guest Access.
There is only one WiFi name for your guest clients.
 
 
 
It is recommended to create a new Guest Network name, along with your custom Guest Network password that you can share with guest clients.
 
Tap on the share  icon to share the Guest Network credentials via text, email, or copy to a template.
Parental ControlsTap on the plus + icon next to Parental Controls to configure it.



When you have configured Parental Controls for your devices, the toggle switch will be on the ON position and a list of your devices will appear in the Parental Controls section.



Toggle the switch to the OFF position to turn OFF Parental Controls for all devices.

NOTE:  If the router is in bridge mode, the Parental Controls section will be greyed out.


NOTE:   The External Storage feature is supported in some Linksys mesh routers.  This feature allows you to connect an external storage device to the USB port on the router and share the entire drive.  Tap on the menu icon and go to External Storage to access this feature.  To learn more, click the links below:
