Make sure that the computer you use to access the web-based setup page of your router or gateway is either wired to it directly or is connected to it via Wi-Fi.

You can disable the Wi-Fi of a base station in the AirPort Utility.
Step 1:
Launch Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility.
Step 2:
Choose your base station and click on Edit.
Step 3:
When prompted, enter the base station’s admin password.
Step 4:
Click on the Wireless tab.
Step 5:
In the Network Mode pop-up menu, select Off.
Step 6:
Click on Update. The base station will restart and load the new settings.
