Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very bad interface and settings this router is so bad for the money. For sure move the name "Pro". It is the least amount of settings i have ever seen on a router. They have dropdown menus with 1 option, why? WIFI settings #1 network name, #2 Password, #3 wifi mode (dropdown menu with 1 option). Change the name to Hydra Pro Wink wink. why did i spend so much on something so stupid.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from don't buy that i bought this for the wifi 6e @6600 capability , but linksys doesn't have any mesh device @6600... and this made this purchasse pointless, useless and overpriced , since you can afford a pack of 2 tp-link deco mesh and saving some money (wifi 6e @5400) the app is not friendly when u want separate the wifi band. i truly regret this purchasse

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Crappy config, crappy product, waste of time+money I just got this router, and it comes with no manual configuration and the mandatory cell phone configuration says it's incompatible with my phone. As a result, this POC is a $300 brick. I want my money back

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Is able to fully use my 1 Gbps WAN link and keep up with the 40 devices at home. Very good signal coverage across multiple rooms. The only weird thing about the router is that the power cord is very short (<1 m). My router is close to the ceiling and I used an extension cord. Other routers I previously used had an adequate power cord.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from okay, could be much better. I have been using this for a few months, it's okay but there is better. It is rather limited and has various flaws, some serious like: it has no ability to set ipv6 dns servers like any other brand, and it will add the isp dns to its dns list regardless of you wanting to or not, so if you have a dns server or your own dns server that blocks awebsite.com, the router promptly proceeds to try to resolve it using the isp dns. probably a security vulnerability too but linksys has no security vulnerability email address anymore lol. less serious: The advanced wifi page that needs direct link to access has no 6ghz settings, I know this router is way more capable than it is as I have toyed with it and in the US region it disables DFS so if you are in a congested area your 5ghz will be horrible, not that your 2.4 will be much better as its automatic channel selector only works like once a month for all frequencies. to add to more, they deleted the telnet and ssh consoles from the firmware files, so you won't be accessing anything advanced.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trash I have zero confidence in any help at this point. I have been on the phone for over an hour and hung up on the clown I was talking to. i just wanted to share that I have wasted over XXXX on this trash - it seems to be broke. I am going to go with another brand at this point which is sad because I have stood behind Linksys for over a decade using multiple products from you. This series is no good and support/customer care has gone to trash. I am going to share the poor experience online on every review platform I find and purchase another router with another company. Just sharing my insignificant voice with your company I know the company doesn't care! This is all, please share the complaint with your management team.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The linksys mobile app is Still down.. I bought this router about a week ago. I was unable to setup using the Linksys app. I had to use an ethernet connection. The app still errors out trying to find the router on the network. Per some posts I found on Reddit, this has been an ongoing issue for over a year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Router for the Masses? I purchased this to replace an aging router from a different manufacturer. While this has faster speeds, and I like that it is mesh, and likely setup in a way the firmware is dummy proof, and made for dummies. I miss the days when you could look at the syslog, see who is port scanning, and active connections. I can't see that anymore, and have no idea if there are connections to\from servers that I need to look into, or much of anything else.

Can I see the 3 Networks separately? I want to know if I can decide which of the 3 networks I want to connect each device to. Is this possible on this router?

Asked by: Jonasrcz8
Yes, Jonasrcz8. You can create a separate SSID for each wireless band of your Linksys Hydra Pro 6E. However, doing this might counteract the benefits of having a mesh network. Feel free to to contact us if you'd like to discuss more about this. Just send us an email at LinksysCares@linksys.com.

What are the default settings for this router?

Asked by: Bedoodah01
Hi! If you’re referring to the router's default administrative password, it’s “admin”. The default Wi-Fi names of the router are LinksysSetupxxx and LinksysSetupxxx_5GHz (the xxx stands for the last three digits of the router’s MAC address). Each node has unique pre-assigned WiFi passwords located at the bottom of the router. You can visit our FAQs for more details: https://www.linksys.com/support-article?articleNum=323720
