Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT COMPATIBLE with majority of the Linksys Produc TLDR: I purchased this to replace a bricked child node on my linksys home wifi system that was 30 days out of warranty. I didn't learn until I was setting it up that it wasn't compatible with my existing system. When adding this product as a child node to my existing Linksys Router using the Linksys App I was informed by the app that the MX6201 was not compatible with my router. After a lengthy internet research I learned that the MX6201 uses COGNITIVE mesh, which is not compatible with Linksys INTELLIGENT mesh. Linksys does not make this clear on the MX6201 product page when purchasing on their website. Under the 4th support tab, there is a link to 'how to add a wired child node'. The instructions on that page say that INTELLIGENT mesh cannot be used with COGNITIVE mesh. WHY NOT PUT THIS IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE? I purchased the product during a black Friday 30% off sale. My proposed solution to the customer service rep was to allow me to purchase a 2nd node to replace my existing router at the 30% discount, as I would have just bought a 2-pack originally had the compatibility issue been made clear on the product page. They would not do that, only give me a 20% discount on the 2-pack (MX6202) and free expedited shipping. So after 2 hours of debugging on my own, 46 minutes on the line with customer service, an extra $30, and another 3 days to wait… I'm back to where I would have been if their product description was accurate. This will be the last Linksys product I'll buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Very Good Router I recently purchased this router configuration with 3 nodes--it was the easiest setup of any router I have ever owned. The app was easy to work with and fairly intuitive. It handles multiple devices easily and has reliable signal throughout the entire house. Still experimenting with some of the features and look forward to broadcasting all 3 bands once I figure out how to turn them on--yes, that should be a choice we make vs. having it made for us via the app during set-up. And, I wish there was an additional port or two on the back. But, a great router and I am quite pleased with it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Really disappointed I originally bought a three pack of Pro 6e and, after several days of trying to get a stable system, finally called support. The support agent was excellent but the conclusion was that my bandwidth from Verizon was too low for the Velop Pro system. We got a working system and I moved the Verizon modem to a location where the bandwidth was 10 times stronger. The Velop Pro 6e continued to drop out whenever the modem signal dropped below 10 mbps. I reinstalled my MX5300/WHW01 system and have not had a dropout since. Now I have 5 Velop Pro 6e towers for doorstops (I brought two more to improve coverage). Expensive lesson about how corporate innovation stagnates.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing to Say the Least I first purchased the VELOP PRO 6E back in August - trying out a multi-node mesh system for the first time. I had a lot of problems in the setup - which may have been of my own making - but it took almost 3 hours for setup including a call to tech support. For the next month or so, it appeared that the new system was a vast improvement over our previous solution - fast Internet throughout the house. However, beginning in the end of September, we started having problems with devices dropping offline periodically. Then, we were experiencing an issue where we could not create a new connection with the error "Invalid Password" being presented. After multiple resets, it appeared to resolve. However, it got worse over the ensuing days. I spent another 2-3 hours on the phone with Tech Support - where they seemed to get off-track in the issue - dealing with a node that didn't want to connect vs. the apparent underlying issue. As a result, I returned that system and purchased a new one, under the impression that this was a limited hardware issue. I had the platform home for about a week - and the issue reared its ugly head again. I believe it is a firmware issue (1.0.4.x works fine, 1.0.5.x does not) and spoke to tech support about it - but they insisted it was not and that there was a work around to 1) reboot the nodes; and 2) forget an re-add the network on each and every device...... ..... OKAY.... that didn't work for the many hours I was on the phone with tech support... So it appears to me that LINKSYS is out of its league right now and the tech team will not be able to resolve. I have purchased a different branded mesh platform and it appears to be working seamlessly. It is truly disappointing that LINKSYS fell down so hard on this platform.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice but still buggy Nice but took 3 hours to setup FYI the app for setup sucks. I had to set it up 2 or 3 times before it would work, once it did work it ran great. I'm getting better coverage than I did with the eero pro 6e. One down side is the speedtest, I can't trust it at all, I have 1gb service and on the eero when I used the the on device speedtest it would show 980mbs down and 520mbs upload, on the Linksys it says 308mbs download and 158mbs upload, if I run speedtest on my mac it shows my speeds like it should. Over all I'm happy to have a more stable network.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome mesh system This mesh system works incredibly well. We replaced our mesh system that was provided by our internet service and this totally out performed that. I don’t have any dead zones in my tri split level house . Very reliable and good system here
