TROUBLESHOOTING
My WiFi devices are not detecting the router's WiFi name. What should I do?
You should check the following items:

1. Check if the router is powered ON. Make sure that the power adapter is properly connected to the power port and that the other end is plugged into a power outlet.

2. Connect the router to the computer with an ethernet cable, then access its web browser, then check if the SSID Broadcast is enabled under Wireless > Basic Wireless Settings > SSID Broadcast. If the option has been disabled, select Enabled then click Save Settings.

3. Check if your WiFi adapter supports the 802.11n, 802.11g, or 802.11b network standards. If not, change your adapter and use one that supports these protocols.

Make sure to turn ON the switch of the WiFi adapter when you use a laptop.
When I change the language of the router's web browser, it defaults back to English after refreshing the page or resetting the gateway. Why does it behave this way?The Select your Language drop-down menu on the Basic Setup page only allows you to temporarily change the display language by language auto-detection.
What should I do if my computer can’t connect to the internet?
There are several ways to resolve connection issues that you may encounter with the router.

If your computer can’t connect to the internet, check the following:

  • Make sure that the gateway is powered ON. The power light should be green and continuously lit and not flashing.
  • If the power light is flashing, you may power OFF the computer or other devices connected to your gateway. Power ON the gateway after 10 seconds and wait for the lights to stop flashing as the gateway goes through self-diagnostic mode. When the gateway is ready, you may power ON your computer or the other devices connected to your gateway.
  • Check the lights on the gateway’s front panel. Check if the Power, DSL, and the numbered LAN ethernet port lights are lit. If not, check the cable connections. The computer must be connected to one of the LAN ethernet ports and the gateway’s DSL port should be connected to the ADSL line.
What should I do if I’m prompted for a username and password when I open a web browser? How do I disable this?To disable this prompt, try configuring the Internet Options of your web browser.
What should I do if I’m using a static IP address on my computer and it can’t connect to the internet? You can set your computer to obtain an IP address automatically.
How do I modify the basic settings of the router? To modify the basic settings, you can re-run the Setup Wizard. You can also set it up as a modem router using the Setup Wizard.

What should I do if my computer can’t connect wirelessly to my network?Make sure the WiFi name is the same on both the computer and the router. If you have enabled WiFi security for your network, make sure that the same security mode and key are used by both the computer and the router.
What should I do if the gateway doesn’t have a coaxial port for the cable connection?A coaxial cable can only connect to a cable modem. Your gateway works as a modem with your ADSL connection. But if you have cable internet, your gateway should be connected to a regular cable modem. You can insert the setup CD into your computer and follow the on-screen instructions to use the gateway as a router connecting to your cable modem.
What should I do if my password used to access the gateway’s web browser does not work? You may use the gateway’s WiFi security settings since they also serve as the login credentials for the web browser.
What IP address should I use to access the router's web browser?Enter "http://192.168.1.1" as the router's default IP address in the Address bar of your web browser and press [Enter]. If you have set another IP address on the router, use that instead.
