Overview of the Device Management menu of the Linksys 5G Mobile Hotspot

The Device Management menu of the Linksys 5G Mobile Hotspot's web interface keeps your network settings secure and protected from unauthorized access.  To access this page, log in to the mobile hotspot's web interface.  For instructions, click here.  Then, click or tap on the menu icon and go to Device Management.

Feature
Description
USB Tethering

The USB Tethering feature is enabled by default.  This allows devices to connect to the mobile hotspot with a USB cable.

The USB Tethering feature can only be disabled if at least one of the WiFi bands is enabled.

Battery Health ManagementThe Battery Health Management feature allows you to change the mobile hotspot's charging mode to reduce battery aging. 
 
 

To configure this setting, click or tap the  icon and select your preferred charging mode.  Then, click or tap on Save.
 

 
Login ID and Password

The Login ID and Password features let you log in to the web interface of your device.  The default login ID of your device is user and the default login password is the WiFi password found on the product label as Key.  To update these, click here.
 

 
WiFi Sleep Mode

The WiFi Sleep Mode feature is set to Off by default.  When this feature is enabled, the mobile hotspot will turn OFF automatically for the time you set.  To wake it from sleep mode, press and release the power button of the mobile hotspot.

To configure this setting, click or tap on the dropdown menu and select from the available options.  Then, click or tap on Save.

  • Off
  • 10 minutes
  • 20 minutes
  • 30 minutes
  • 60 minutes
 

 
Restart

When restarting your mobile hotspot, it can take 3 minutes for your devices to reconnect.
