5.  What are the default settings of the mobile hotspot?
 
The mobile hotspot has the following default settings:
  • The IP address is 192.168.1.1.  
  • The default login ID is user while the default login password is the Wi-Fi password found on the product label as Key.
  • The default Wi-Fi names are Linksysxxxxx for the 2.4 GHz and Linksysxxxxx_5GHz for the 5 GHz band (xxxxx represents the last five digits of the serial number).
 
6.  Can the device be replaced within 7 days of purchase?

Yes.  For replacement within 7 days of purchase, contact your carrier.
 
7.  Can the device be replaced after 7 days of purchase?

TROUBLESHOOTING
 
1.  How can I reset the mobile hotspot to factory defaults?
 
If you have forgotten the login password, you may reset your device.  To know how, click here.
 
2.  I can’t seem to log in to the web interface of the mobile hotspot, what should I do?
 
If you have five failure attempts to log in, wait for 10 minutes before trying again.
 
3.  The mobile hotspot tells me my SIM card is invalid, what should I do?

4.  The mobile hotspot tells me my SIM card is locked, what should I do?

5.  How do I resolve issues with signal loss?

6.  What should I do if the clients keep on disconnecting from the mobile hotspot?

If the mobile hotspot is configured to use a Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) channel on the 5 GHz band, simply log in and change the 5 GHz radio channel to Auto, a non-DFS channel or another DFS channel.  It is recommended to use the Auto setting since a fixed DFS channel can have disconnection issues if it detects another system nearby with the same DFS channel. 

FIRMWARE UPGRADE
 
1.  How do I upgrade the firmware of my mobile hotspot?
 
The mobile hotspot supports Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA).  This means your firmware will be automatically downloaded and a prompt in the dashboard will appear when one is available.  The mobile hotspot conducts firmware checks every 24 hours and every time it restarts.  Once a firmware is available, the dashboard will display the message Restart your hotspot to install new firmware.
