Disabling proxy settings on Microsoft Edge

A proxy server is an application or system that acts as an intermediary between your computer and the internet. Enabling this service can cause problems when accessing internet websites because the proxy server settings have been configured.

To mention, problems encountered would be slow access to resources or blocked content from malicious websites.

To resolve this issue, you will need to manually configure the settings on your browser. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Launch Microsoft Edge®.

2. In the top-right corner, click the Settings and more icon represented by three dots.

3. Click Settings.

4. Click System and performance.

5. Click Open your computer's proxy settings. Your computer's Settings window will pop up.

6. Toggle Automatically detect settings to Off.

The proxy server setting is now disabled. You should now find improvements in your internet performance. You can verify this by visiting different websites.
