Power Port
– Connect the AC power adapter to this port.  The power adapter uses 12 V.

NOTE:  Use ONLY the adapter that came with your access point.

Ethernet Port 1 (Power over Ethernet (PoE))
– Use an RJ45 (Cat5e or better) cable to connect the Linksys LAPAC2600 to other networking devices like routers, switches or computers.   This port supports PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at).  You may use the port to power the access point by using a PoE+ switch or injector.

NOTE:  PoE has higher precedence over AC.  When both PoE and AC power adapter are connected to Linksys LAPAC2600, the device will be powered by PoE.

Ethernet Port 2
– This is a non-PoE Ethernet port.  It can be used instead of Ethernet Port 1 but requires AC power adapter to power the access point.

NOTE:  Ethernet Port 1 and Port 2 can be used together in Link Aggregation mode when supported by the connected devices.  In this configuration, it is highly recommended that AC power and PoE be used in tandem to support power failure and/or link failure.
