The Linksys EA8100 v2 Max-Stream AC2600 Gigabit Router is a dual-band router with two USB ports solely for USB storage.  It supports seamless roaming and beamforming technology for a Wi-Fi signal coverage solution that can give a maximum speed of 800 Mbps for the 2.4 GHz and 1,733 Mbps for the 5 GHz band.  
 

2.  What is the warranty period of the Linksys EA8100 v2?

NOTE:  The router supports up to 50 guests.

Yes.  The Linksys EA8100 v2 supports SPI firewall.  
 

3.  What is Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and what is it used for?
 
The DMZ screen allows one local user to be exposed to the internet for use of a special-purpose service such as internet gaming and videoconferencing.  DMZ hosting forwards all the ports at the same time to one computer.  Port Forwarding is more secure because it only opens the ports you want to open.

TROUBLESHOOTING
 

1.  How can I reset the Linksys EA8100 v2 to factory defaults?
 
There are two ways to reset the Linksys EA8100 v2 to factory defaults:

 
  • Hardware Reset – Press and hold the Reset button on the back panel of the Linksys EA8100 v2 for about 10 seconds.  
     
  • Software Reset – Log in to your Linksys server account.  Under Router Settings, click Troubleshooting > Diagnostics.  Click Reset under Factory reset.  
  • Verify that your router is ON and the Power (Linksys logo) is solidly lit.  
  • If you are far from the router, you might try moving closer to see if your device is out of the network range.  
  • Using a computer wired to the router, open the router's web-based setup page by entering “myrouter.local” or “192.168.1.1” and make sure that Broadcast SSID is ON.  
  • Turn the router OFF and power it back ON.   

3.  Can I also block HTTPS websites in Parental Controls? 
 
Yes, website addresses starting with https:// can be blocked but, because they have encryption, the Linksys server cannot redirect you.  Instead of a page telling you the address has been blocked, you will see a browser error page.
