2. Does SFE2010/P support RPS (Redundant Power Supply)?
       
Yes. It supports 280W.      
 
3. What are the IP Address, Username and Password to login to the SFE2010/P? 
      
Its default IP address is "192.168.1.254", its default username is "admin " with no password.        


4. How do I access the web-based interface of the SFE2010/P?      
       
In an Internet explorer browser you enter http://<ip address of the router>, ex. http://192.168.1.254.  
      
5. What is the Warranty period length of the SFE2010/P?       
       

5 year limited warranty.       
 
6. How can I reset the SFE2010/P to factory defaults?
       
If you are using the Web-based Utility for configuration, you should follow the step as below:


Step 1: 

Go to System > System management > Reset section, click Restore Defaults and confirm the pop up box to make it apply.

If you are using the Console Interface for configuration, you should follow the step as below:

Step 1:  go to System Configuration Information Menu-> Restore System Default Settings, press the Enter key. You will be asked if you are sure. Press the "y" key to restore the Switch's default settings. 

                                             
 
If you are using the reset opening in Front Panel for configuration, it can be reset by inserting a pin or paper clip into the RESET opening and held for 10 seconds or longer, the Ethernet switch will be reset to its default setting.
      
7. Does SFE2010/P support Power Over Ethernet?       
       
Yes. It supports Power Over Ethernet.       
 
8. Before you use the console interface, on serial port settings which baud rate you should choose to communicate with SFE2010/P? 
 
We should choose 115200 baurd rate/Bits per second.

10. How can I reboot the SFE2010/P ?       
       
There are two ways to reboot the switch:

  •  Using the console interface, go to System Configuration Menu screen, select Reboot System and press the Enter key.
  •  Using the web interface, go to System > System Management > Reset screen, click Reset Button and click Yes to proceed.

Using Web-based Utility for configuration, you can go to Bridging  > Port management  > Port Settings tab, and click Edit button to open the Port Configuration Detail screen, and configures the port speed here.

13. How can I add user? 
      
Using Web-based Utility for configuration, you should go to Security > Password Management > User Authentication, click Add button to add it to the Users Table, enter the User Name, Password, Confirm Password, then click Apply button to proceed.       
       
14. Are you able to  add username and modify password?       
       
Yes.       
 
15. Which Authorization method will be supported in SFE2010/P?      
       
It supports RADIUS and TACACS+ Authorization.       
 
16. How can I copy running configuration to startup configuration?      
       
Using the web interface, go to Admin > File Management > Copy Files screen, enable Copy Configuration option, specify Source File Name as running configuration and Destination File Name as startup configuration, then click Apply button to proceed.       
 
17. How can I enable the Web HTTPS Access?       
       
Web HTTPS Access is enable by default, if you want to disable it, using the Console interface, go to System Configuration Menu > IP Configuration > HTTPS configuration screen, to disable the HTTPS Server.        
 
18. What is the default Radius Server Port in SFE2010/P?

19. Does SFE2010/P support  Port Security ?       
       
Yes.       
 
20. How can I add VLAN?  
   
Using Web-based Utility for configuration, you should go to Bridging > VLAN management > Properties find the VLAN Edit field, click Add button, enter VLAN ID, VLAN name, click Apply button to proceed.        
 
21. What is the largest number of  Vlans does SFE2010/P support?     
       
4094.       
 
22. How many VLANs can the SFE2010/P support?        
       
255 active VLANs (4094 range).       
 
23. How many Management Methods does SFE2010/P support?      
       
There are six methods (http, https, ssh, telnet, snmp, hyper terminal).

29. What LEDs does the SFE2010/P have?        
       
A  System Status LEDs  
      
PWR: A green PWR LED lights to indicate that the Ethernet switch is powered by internal power supplies.     
FAN: A green FAN LED lights to indicate that FANs of switch work normally.  
RPS:  A green RPS LED lights to indicate the RPS function are working on.  
MST: A green MST LED lights to indicate the Multiple Spanning Tree function are working on.
     
Stack ID LEDs
 
Numbers: The green Stack ID LEDs light to indicate the switch are working in Stack mode and its stack ID is the number which lights.
 
UplinkPort LEDs
 
Act/Link: The green Act/Link LEDs light to indicate a functional network link through the corresponding port with an attached device.  The Act (Activity) LEDs flash to indicate that the Ethernet switch is actively sending or receiving data over that port.
 
SPEED: The Gigabit LED lights indicate a Gigabit connection on the corresponding port.

30. Are you able to Backup and upgrade configuration on the SFE2010/P?     
       
Yes.       
 
31. How can I restore configuration of SFE2010/P?        
       
Using the web interface, go to Admin  > File Management > Save Configuration  screen, enable UPGRADE option, specify the TFTP server's IP Address and  Source File which you want to upgrade to  the switch and  select the Destination File ,click Apply button to proceed.       
               
Firmware Upgrade Method
 
32. How many approaches can I upgrade the Firmware on the SFE2010/P?     
       
Two. You can upgrade it through console interface or web interface.   
    
33. How do I upgrade the Firmware on the SFE2010/P in web page ?      
       
If you are using a TFTP server, please follow the step as below:
                                                                                        
Using Web interface,  go to  Admin > File Management > Firmware Upgrade tab, If you are going to update your software image, you should select software image in the File Type drop down menu. If you are going to update your boot code, you should select boot code in the File Type drop down menu, and then enter the TFTP server's IP address and the Source File you wanted to upload to the switch, then click Apply button.    
    
34. How do I backup the Firmware on the SFE2010/P?        
       
If you are using a TFTP server, please follow the step as below:
 
Using Web interface, go to Admin > File Management > Firmware Upgrade tab,
If you are going to backup your software Enter the TFTP's IP address in the TFTP server field and enter the backup file name in the Destination File field. Then click Apply button.
 
If you want to backup boot code file, the step is the same with backup software image or you backup it using Console interface.
 
Go to system configuration Menu > File Management > Upgrade/Backup, select boot file in the source File field and enter the TFTP's IP address in the TFTP server field, then click Execute.
