Setting up the Linksys RE6800 AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender using WPS

The Linksys RE6800 AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender can be set up in three (3) ways: Setup Wizard, Manual and using Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS).  This article will show you the steps on how to set up your range extender via WPS pairing with your wireless router or access point.
 
Step 1:
Plug the Linksys RE6800 into a wall outlet that is close to your router.
 
NOTE:  After setup, you can move the extender to another location.

  
Step 2:
Wait for the Light Emitting Diode (LED) to change to orange.  To learn more about this device’s LED behavior, click here.

Step 3:
Press the WPS button on your wireless router.
  
Step 4:
Press the WPS button on the Linksys RE6800.  The WPS button will light up and the indicator LED on the front of the range extender will blink green.  
Once the front indicator turns solid green, the connection is successful.

Step 5:
To extend your 5 GHz network, repeat Steps 3 to 5.
