IMPORTANT:
  • Only ports 1 and 2 on the Linksys EA8300 support Link Aggregation.
  • The Linksys EA8300 does not support 802.3ad Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) or any other proprietary LAG implementation.  If you are using a switch that supports LACP 802.3ad, you will need to create a Static (manual) LAG on the switch with LACP disabled.
Link Aggregation Group (LAG) setup requirements:
  • The Linksys EA8300 must have the latest firmware with Link Aggregation support.
  • Use two Cat5e cables or better for a gigabit connection.
  • A client (such as a switch) that supports Link Aggregation.
The LAG settings will vary across different devices.  Make sure to use the two ports on your device that support Link Aggregation.  Contact your vendor to confirm if Link Aggregation is supported and configured properly on your device.  Once your device is set up, follow these steps to enable Link Aggregation on the Linksys EA8300 using the Linksys app.
